Be careful with Home 2 U estate agents
What a nightmare, home2u estate agents are basically in the game of treating tenants terribly in our opinion. You must be careful when using them because they will give you cheap rent for 6 months and then increase the rent substantially after this as they know you will need to go through a lot of hassle to move. Also, we were told to sign a tenancy agreement on behalf of my nephew when the agent knew we were not living there ourselves but our nephew (who is a student) was and we should have been signing a gurantors agreement. After that home 2 u refused to ammend the agreement unless we agreed to sign a new contract with them with a 12% increase in the rent. We couldn't afford this increase and now we are liable for over £900 council tax even though we have never lived at the property (my nephew is a student and would have been exempt). Repairs requested were not completed (boiler has been leaking since December) and we were never given a landlords certificate for the gas, surprise, surprise!! Basically just beware, they operate in South East London and now they are withholding our deposite despite being happy with the condition of the flat!![/b]

This flat is rented to house 3 people only. Eventually we found out that there was a floating population between 6 & 8 people. They required to us through Darren.G that he wouldn’t confirm to the council that one of the tenant was not a student-this was so they could avoid paying council tax. We refused to do this, so they got angry and they left the property after few weeks. They clearly know that we don’t hold their deposit, the Landlord Mr. Alex Facey hold their deposit and We gave them the Landlord's solicitors address, so they could sort this out directly with them, because they are annoyed with us they made a false complaint about us. We always want to follow the rules & regulation and we don’t want to fraud the council by doing this.
Thank you
home2u
